A pen with number 3701 on its pen label means the
occupier is entered in class 37 - silvered - and is an adult rat. The 01 after the
class number means it is the first entry of that variety. The second and third
entries in that class would be 3702 and 3703. Pen labels are supplied on your
arrival at the show and these have black numbers for the Variety classes, red
numbers for kittens and green for all Pet classes, whether adult or kitten rats
are shown. This assists the judges and stewards in deciding which rat goes where
on the show benches. Remember to bring bedding for your show pens
and put pen labels onto the plastic strip attached to one end of your hire pen.
Once your rat is safely in its pen, place the pen onto one of the show benches
when it will be placed in judging order by a steward. Then sit back and enjoy
your afternoon !
