The NERS Stillington show will be held on Saturday 25th February 2012 at:

Doors will open to exhibitors at 11am, judging starts 11:30 am prompt.

  • Light meals and refreshments (with ethically sourced produce and vegetarian options)
  • Cosybedsandburrows trading stand (small animal pet beds and accessories)
  • Fun events including guess the weight of the rat
  • Raffle (contributions welcome)

Entry deadline for standard entry rates Wednesday 22nd February.
Rats can be entered into any combination of the 3 sections in the show: Varieties, Pets and Activities.
The pet section of this show is open, only rats entered in Varieties must be tanked and benched.

Entry fees: £1.50 per section, per exhibit (members)
£2.00 per section, per exhibit (non-members)
£2.00/£2.50 respectively for late entries
Hire tanks: £1.50 per tank for first 4 hired
£2.50 per tank for each further tank required
Number of tanks available to each member may be limited depending on demand.

Shoulder rats:
All shoulder rats must be registered prior to the show, and there is a 50p registration charge per animal.

Usual infection control rules apply:
Please do not bring your rats if you have had - or had contact with -

  • any acute (new) infection related illness or unexpected deaths in the past 3 weeks;
  • Brought in any new rats over the past 3 weeks;
  • Been to any other shows or gatherings of rats in the past 3 weeks;
  • Had any rat related contact with rats of unknown background (eg rescue centre, pet shop) in the past 3 weeks;
  • Had a virus within a small group of rats within the past 4 weeks:
  • Had a virus within a group of 15 or more rats, or when raising a litter within the past 8 weeks.

The next show after this will be at Preston on the 14th April 2012. Venues and dates for other 2012 NERS shows are currently awaiting confirmation and will be announced shortly.
